Day One workout today...Chest and Back with Ab Ripper X...it was like a study in contrast. I felt so good about myself as a person doing Chest and Back, and I felt like a failure doing Ab Ripper. I decided this time around that I want to make it one of my goals to be good at pull-ups when I get done...consequently, instead of using the bands for pull-ups, I used my pull-up bar and used a chair for assistance. I can do 3 pull-ups all on my own (which is 3 more than I have been able to do most of my lfie)...using the chair to help, I got 15. The push-ups were pretty good...I can knock out some push ups pretty good from after doing P90X last time. Though, I still can't do Diamond Push-Ups to save my life. I have to modify it pretty heavily to get any reps done. All in all, though, I felt really good doing the workout.
Then came Ab Ripper X...when I got done doing P90X last time, I had gotten myself to a point where I could actually do almost the whole workout...I had to take a ton of breaks today, which made me extremely sad. I'm sure I'll get back to where I was before long (since you do Ab Ripper X 3 times a week), it was just disappointing today.
It was wonderful doing the workout with Joyful...I'm so looking forward to doing that with her 6 days a week! It's such a great thing to be able to share with my wife...and not that he has any clue right now, it feels good to know that we're working to set the example for Isaiah.
